1199SEIU/City Fund LPN Course-Current Trends in Diabetes, Hypertension and Congestive Heart Failure

Caring for patients with a chronic conditions such as Diabetes, CHF and/or Hypertension is one of the toughest jobs that a nurse can have, because these patients need help every day, not just in the acute care setting but even more so in other settings such as LTC, ambulatory areas, home and more. Additionally, medications treatments and protocols are rapidly evolving making it harder and harder for the nurse to stay abreast of practice guidelines.  To effectively care for this sub set of patients the LPN needs a strong knowledge base of pathophysiology, medication, cutting edge treatment and diagnostic modalities, including telehealth and more. This program will provide the nurse, regardless of practice setting, with the critical knowledge and skill set needed to manage any patient with a primary or secondary diagnosis of a Diabetes, CHF and/or HTN.
